81. OPTIMISING YOUR DAY
Your college experience can be made or marred by how you plan your days. Know when you are most productive. Are you a morning person or do you work best late at night? Organise your timetable to take advantage of these productive hours.
Establish a morning routine that gives you energy. These first activities, whether it is a quick workout, meditation, or just eating a healthy breakfast, set the tone for the rest of the day. It is not necessary to have a long morning routine; even 20 minutes of intentional activity can significantly increase your motivation and attention for the day.
Keep in mind that optimisation does not need you packing every minute with tasks. To keep your mind fresh, schedule regular breaks and allow extra time for unforeseen circumstances. Set aside specified times for studying, interacting with others, and taking care of yourself. Consider your energy to be a limited resource that must be wisely distributed throughout the day.
Above all, make sure you get enough sleep, plan for tomorrow, and review what went well and what didn’t. Spend ten minutes listing your top priorities for the following day and organising your to-do list. This easy routine helps you get started quickly, and lessens morning stress. This daily investment in self-awareness and organisation will pay off in the future.
