MANAGING FAILURE Have you ever prepared so well for an examination as an undergraduate with so much confidence, hoping to ace that particular course, only to discover after the result was released that you failed? Failure is one thing an undergraduate would never want to experience. The earlier we realise that failure and disappointment is a side package in achieving greater heights, the better for us. The lens at which we view failure determines how we will deal with it. Keeping your heads high even after failing, retaining your confidence even in the midst of a setback, are some ways you can deal with failure. How poorly your grades are, is not a yardstick to measure how successful you will become. Self-evaluation is an efficient tool in managing failure: What did I do wrong? How do I improve?
